The case of the missing order finally took a step ahead as Zila Panchayat CEO Neha Meena took an action against in-charge Devendra Choubey and took away charge of education department from him. The department charge has been given to Ravindra Lele.
Further, answering to the show cause notice, Choubey had refused receiving any orders and hence, the blame was passed on to Murlidhar Sharma, Zila Panchayat Superintendent and peon Suresh Chandra Khatri.
Increment in salary of Sharma and Khatri has been stopped for the year. However, department level inspection would be conducted again in the case.
The original order from commissioner’s office was passed last year ordering inspection against Choubey. The order was followed by three reminder orders.
A reminder was sent in the first half of July and the last reminder was sent from Collector Office in the last week of July. However, Neha had denied receiving orders and finally took action after Free Press printed copy of the orders.
The complaint was originally raised by an RTI activist Sanjay Mishra, which was cited in the original inspection letter number 126 in all the reminder letters.
