Madhya Pradesh Budget 2021: Educationists react & hope for better times especially for children in the state
Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented MP Budget 2021 in the assembly. The overall budget is focused on self-sufficient Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, MP Education Budget 2021 also got some key focus points.
Under MP Education Budget 2021, the government would increase 1235 MBBS seats in 2 years. Also, the budget will focus on the recruitment of 2400 new school teachers in a year and various other projects.
Reacting upon the MP education budget 2021, some educationists in Indore say…
“The good announcement was that MBBS seats will increase by 1235 in the span of the next two years. I feel it’s a dire need to increase MBBS seats, as thousands of talented students don’t get the chance to become doctors because of limited seats. Addition of 24 girls schools and gurukuls to CBSE board is an impressive step. Let’s hope it works out.”

“Under MP Education Budget 2021, 24200, school teachers will get recruited in a years' time. I think it shows a positive sign especially as all the guest teachers were removed from government schools and their life has become a challenge following coronavirus outbreak. Provision made in the budget for the CM Rise Scheme marking 9,200 schools in the state to be made modern and well-equipped is a hopeful step. In the first phase, 11 schools will be upgraded.”

“The budget allocation for school education for fiscal year 2018-19 has been raised by 17% compared to the last year, but the allocation for electrification of schools has been slashed by Rs 5 crore. Last year, the state government announced a total budget of 17,872 crore for school education.”
