Story written by Dr Garima Sanjay Dubey from Indore included in the curriculum of Gujarat Vishwavidyalaya Vama Sahitya Manch.
Dubey's story ‘Panna Ba’ was analysed and included the curriculum considering the writing and content. The story will be taught in post graduate course of Hindi literature at Ambedkar Open Vishwavidyalaya in Gujarat.
“I focused the story on tribal and transgender issues in the country as it is an important lesson for students,” Dubey said.
She added that the story would also be an essential point of discussion and will be testing knowledge of students in second year examination of the course.
“This story based on eunuch life is written in the memoir style, in which the struggle and pain of eunuch life has been told,” Dubey said.
She added that along with this, the curiosity of the society has been presented through the eyes of a teenager. “This story will be taught from the new academic session 2022-23,” Dubey said Earlier this story was also a part of the book "Katha and Kinnar" included in the reference course (MA 2nd year) of Himachal Pradesh Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya. This story has also been mentioned in many research papers and short research texts based on eunuch life including Vagarth, the magazine of the Indian Language Council.
