A Joyful Easter Weekend: Flavour, Fun and a Touch of Magic

As spring breathes life back into the world, Easter weekend arrives like a fresh bloom—bursting with colour, warmth, and togetherness. Whether you're planning a peaceful Sunday lunch, a laughter-filled afternoon with the little ones, or a quiet moment of reflection, there's something special for everyone.
This Easter, celebrate with comforting seasonal food​, light-hearted family games, and a dash of adventure to stir the imagination.

Roasted Baby Potatoes with Herb Butter
Ingredients:
For the potatoes:
• 700g baby potatoes
• 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
• Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
For the herb butter:
• 40g unsalted butter (or plant-based alternative)
• 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
• 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
• 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
• Zest of 1 lemon
• A small squeeze of lemon juice (optional)
Method:
1. Prepare and roast the potatoes:
• Preheat the oven to 220°C (200°C fan) / Gas Mark 7.
• Cut any larger potatoes in half to ensure even cooking.
• Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt and pepper.
• Spread them out on a baking tray, cut-side down if halved.
• Roast for 25 to 30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden and crisp.
2. Make the herb butter:
• In a small saucepan, melt the butter gently over low heat.
• Add the chopped garlic and cook for about a minute, just until fragrant (avoid browning).
• Stir in the herbs, lemon zest and lemon juice, then remove from the heat.
3. Combine and serve:
• Place the roasted potatoes in a serving bowl.
• Pour over the herb butter and toss gently to coat.
• Garnish with a pinch of sea salt and a few extra chopped herbs if you like.

Bunny, Bunny Hop – Quick Game Guide
Players: 5+ | Ages: 4+ | Time: 10–15 mins | Space: Open area
You Need: An object for the “bunny” (optional) and space to form a circle.
How to Play:
1. Players stand or sit in a circle.
2. One person starts as the “Bunny” and says “Bunny, bunny” to the next person with bunny ears.
3. Each person continues the pattern quickly around the circle.
4. At any time, the Bunny can say “Hop!” and point to anyone in the circle.
5. The person pointed at must hop in place.
6. The two players beside them turn to each other, make bunny ears, and say “Bunny, bunny!”
7. Anyone who hesitates, forgets to hop, or messes up is out (or becomes the new Bunny).
8. Keep playing until a few are left or everyone has had a turn.
