Easy Watermelon Craft with Okra Stamps — Step-by-Step Tutorial
What You Need:
• Fresh okra
• Red, green, and black washable paint
• White paper or cardstock
• Paintbrush (optional)
• Paper plate or palette
• Paper towels
• An adult to help with cutting
Steps:
1. Cut the Okra
Ask an adult to cut the okra into thin slices (about ¼ inch thick). Each slice looks like a tiny star!
2. Make the Watermelon Shape
Use red paint to make a big half-circle (a semicircle) on your paper. This will be the watermelon’s juicy inside.
3. Add the Watermelon Rind
Paint a green border around the curved edge of your red semicircle. This is the watermelon skin!
4. Stamp the Seeds
Dip your okra slice into black paint and gently press it inside the red area. These star-shaped stamps are your watermelon seeds!
5. Let It Dry
Wait for your artwork to dry before showing it off!
