SGSITS Launches Indian Knowledge Systems Centre and Innovative AR Campus Navigation
In a major leap forward for both technological innovation and heritage preservation, the Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology & Science (SGSITS) has officially established its new Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Centre alongside an cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) campus navigation platform. The landmark infrastructure and technology initiatives were formally inaugurated by the Madhya Pradesh Minister for Higher Education, Technical Education, and AYUSH, Shri Inder Singh Parmar. The celebratory campus updates also featured the unveiling of a beautiful new statue of Swami Vivekananda and a proud certificate distribution ceremony celebrating the graduates of the SGSITS–Path India Skill Development Programme.
"The vision of the National Education Policy 2020 is to integrate India’s rich knowledge traditions with contemporary education and scientific research," Minister Parmar stated during his address. "Indian Knowledge Systems should not remain confined to historical or cultural studies alone; they must become a foundation for innovative research and practical solutions to present-day societal challenges. Key research areas include ancient water conservation systems dating back to the Gupta and Paramara periods, traditional tribal medicinal practices, the classic civil engineering methodologies famously attributed to Raja Bhoj, and India's profound ancient astronomical heritages.
Steering these operations forward, SGSITS Director Prof. Neetesh Purohit has taken charge as the Principal Investigator. He is joined by a stellar academic team, with Prof. K. Venkataraman and Prof. Harish Vyas stepping into their roles as Co-Principal Investigators to help guide the facility's ambitious research goals.

Navigating the sprawling institute grounds just got incredibly intuitive for fresh faces. To actively assist visitors, the institution has successfully deployed the AR SGSITS Navigation System. This mobile-based framework is built to guide incoming students and families smoothly across the campus using real-time physical positioning updates and helpful voice directives.

The impressive software application was engineered entirely by an exceptionally talented student development team comprising Shrishti Alanse, Suhani Khare, and Krishna Pal. The brilliant trio brought the project to life under the diligent academic supervision of Dean Prof. Lalit Purohit, Dr. Pooja Gupta, and Dr. Chandraprakash Singar.

The milestone event wrapped up on a high note by awarding hard-earned qualifications to graduates of the campus skill development curriculum.
