5 essential tips for Men’s fitness: Don’t over workout! Aarti Maheshwari

We often talk about women fitness and weight control. Women’s weight faces more fluctuations as compared to men. The reason being cyclic changes in hormones every month. Men on the other hand often neglect their fitness and health as not all of them battle with weight changes as women.
Ignoring the importance of fitness often results in serious health issues and lack of stamina in future. Guiding men on keeping fit, licensed zumba & aqua zumba instructor Aarti Maheshwari suggests the basics of fitness.
Fitness is not about bulky muscles
Size has nothing to do with fitness. If you are fit, then you have the muscular strength and endurance along with agility, power and quickness to do cardio, core strength exercises and weight training. And this has nothing to do with size.
“Being bulky may make you less flexible and you could also lose the power to lift.”
Don’t cross the limits
It is important to feel good while you are working out. You should feel the energy not just while working out, but throughout the day. If your workout leaves you feeling exhausted, dizzy or sleepy, then you need to fix it. Over workout can cause tearing of your muscles. Working out for hours can do more damage to your body than benefit it. So, it is essential to work-out in a balanced routine making it a part of your everyday life.
1. Work on Flexibility
A woman’s body is more flexible than men, so men need to work harder on flexibility.
2. Get Slower
Men tend to have a healthy competitive spirit. While this is great for your motivation and encouraging you to push yourself, it can also lead to problems.
3. Try new workout
Doing different types of fitness activities means that you work different parts of your body and in so doing you improve your core strength, your flexibility and your balance.
4. Holistic Approach To Fitness
Engage physically, mentally and emotionally with their fitness programmes.
5. Take a Break
Doing back-to-back sessions may make you feel like you are doing the best thing for your body, but not giving yourself a break between workouts will lead to you suffering burn-out, losing motivation and generally doing more harm than good.
