Banana Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 packet (about 200 g) shortbread biscuits — roughly 2 cups, crushed or broken
- 6–8 bananas
- 2 cups (480 ml) milk
- 1 packet (about 140 g) instant French vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1¾ cups (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1½ cups (340 g) whipped cream topping, thawed
Method
- Take a large glass dish, about 33 × 23 cm.
- Place a layer of biscuits at the bottom.
- Slice the bananas and place them over the biscuits.
- In a bowl, mix 2 cups milk with the pudding mix. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, beat 1 cup cream cheese with the condensed milk until smooth.
- Gently fold in 1½ cups whipped cream.
- Add this mixture to the pudding and stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture over the bananas and biscuits.
- Add another layer of biscuits and bananas on top, if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate for 3–4 hours.
- Serve chilled.

Mechanic to Kinetic: Catapult
Materials Needed
- ~12 Craft / Popsicle Sticks
- 1 Metal Spoon (or sturdy plastic spoon)
- 1 Round Skewer or Toothpick (for the crossbar)
- 3–4 Rubber Bands
- Craft Glue or Hot Glue
How to Make It
- Glue four craft sticks end-to-end to form a flat, sturdy rectangular base on your workspace.
- Glue two sticks vertically on each side of the base, angling them together into an inverted "A" shape to form two side support towers.
- Lay a small wooden skewer or toothpick horizontally across the top points of the side towers and glue it securely in place as a pivot bar.
- Attach the handle of the spoon to a single craft stick arm, then wrap rubber bands around the stick and the top crossbar so the arm pivots freely.
- Hook a rubber band from the middle of the spoon handle down to the front of the base frame for tension. Pull back the spoon bowl, load a projectile, and release!
How It Works
Pulling back on the spoon stretches the tension band, storing elastic potential energy. Releasing it converts that stored force into kinetic energy, launching your projectile forward!
