The Emerald Heights International School Students Triumph at WSRO Robotics Competition; Six Teams Qualify for Nationals
INDORE — Students of The Emerald Heights International School delivered an exceptional performance at the World STEM & Robotics Olympiad (WSRO) Regional Competition, held on September 5, 2026, at VIBGYOR World Academy, Bhopal.
The competition gave young participants an opportunity to put engineering concepts, robotics skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities into practice. For The Emerald Heights International School, the results brought particular recognition, with six teams qualifying for the national level.
The achievement reflects the growing importance of hands-on STEM learning in schools, where students are encouraged to move beyond textbooks and develop solutions through experimentation, design, programming, engineering and teamwork.
A Strong Showing Across Robotics Categories
Competing across several challenging technical categories, the students secured multiple top positions and special awards. Their performance included first and second positions, a second runner-up finish and several Judge's Choice Awards.
BLIX Sprint: Two Teams Secure Top Positions
In the BLIX Sprint category, Veer Khosla (Class 6) and Reyansh Garg (Class 6) secured 1st Position.
Another team comprising Shaurya Jain (Class 6), Teehan Bhandari (Class 6) and Rajveer Mendirata secured 2nd Position.
Both teams qualified for the national level.
Robo Precision: Podium Finish and Judge's Choice
In Robo Precision, the team comprising Aarav Patidar (Class 8), Garv Jain (Class 8), Jainam Kimtee and Leo Paul secured the 2nd Runner-Up position.
The senior team featuring Rohan Tharwani (Class 10), Chinmay Saluja (Class 10) and Swarit Sawarkar (Class 10) received the Judge's Choice Award.
Both teams qualified for Nationals.
Fastest Line Following: Judge's Choice Award
In Fastest Line Following, Aaradhy Badjatya (Class 10) and Virat Jain (Class 10) received the Judge's Choice Award and qualified for the national level.
Robo Race: Another National Qualification
In Robo Race, Nihal Jeswani (Class 8) and Vivaan Singh (Class 8) received the Judge's Choice Award and secured their place at the national level.
Six Teams Head to the National Championship
With six teams qualifying from the regional competition, The Emerald Heights International School will now prepare for the next stage of the competition.
The WSRO National Competition is scheduled to be held on September 26–27, 2026, at Peddem Indoor Stadium, Goa.
What the Results Mean for STEM Learning
Robotics competitions provide students with a particularly demanding form of experiential learning. Building and operating robots requires more than knowing individual concepts. Students have to test ideas, identify problems, modify designs and work together under competitive conditions.
