Guest of Honour president board of governors of DC Narendra Singh Jhabua quoted the importance of adapting to changes for survival in business and management. Students who attempted Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 can view their responses and evaluate their performance now. National Testing Agency (NTA) activated the link for checking responses on JEE Advanced official website on Tuesday.  As shared by JEE mentor Kamal Sharma, cut-off is expected around 110 marks. “Paper was lengthy and tough, so students are actually feeling good and positive as per responses,” he said.  Score of 255 is likely to be cut off for top 100 students. “AIR will be somewhere around 355, based on paper analysis,” Sharma said.

In the monsoon butterfly survey, Nature & Wildlife Conservation & Awareness Society (NWCAS) spotted 10 new species of butterflies in Indore. An indicator of improving biodiversity, perhaps the result of lockdown and lower pollution levels during that period. For any ecosystem the butterflies are very good indicator to judge how sound the biodiversity & ecology of the area. “Butterfly as an insect comes at the base of the any ecology pyramid and as the butterfly life cycle depends upon the presence of its host plant for its reproduction & nectar plant for feeding,” Ravi Sharma, NCWAS president, said.  He explained that the numbers of species of butterfly in any region means that as many of its host plant & nectar plants are present in that area. Following the permission and guidelines from collector Manish Singh on Monday, doors of temples opened for devotees after 189 days on Tuesday.  Devotees awaiting this day reached various temples early in the morning. Devotees were seen in most temples including Khajrana Ganesh, Ranjit Hanuman Temple and Bada Ganapati. First contestant to sit on hot seat in this season of Kaun Banega Crorepati was from Indore.  Aarti Jagtap from Madhya Pradesh is set to be the first contestant of the latest season. Her mother (Sushma) works as house help and her father (Narayan) is a plumber by profession. Enraged over barking, a farmer had shot a dog and was arrested for the same by Banganga police station. However, the farmer was bailed out soon after the arrest and freed with his arms.  The farmer Pankaj Shukla said the dog used to bark near his home and had also bitten several people, which enraged him.  “Though he could not give names or any other details of such incidents,” Banganga police station in charge Rajendra Soni said. "Shukla used his licenced gun to shoot the animal on Saturday, and the firearm and two empty cartridges have been recovered. We are writing to the district administration to cancel Shukla's gun licence," Soni said. School education department has decided to increase the number of excellence schools in the state from four to eight. Currently, there are four excellence schools located in four big cities of the state including Indore. The decision was taken citing the better results of students studying in these excellence schools since last couple of years.  In the recent meeting of school education department, the names of 6 government schools of Indore were proposed to be made into excellence schools.  Only three of them were selected by the department. Now, further only one out of the three will be selected to be made into excellence school.  Currently, Indore has only one excellence school, i.e. Bal Vinay Mandir. Only Sindhi community representatives will be able to go for attending ‘24th Sindhu Darshan Festival’ this year and participate in the ‘darshan yatra’.  Usually, community members and even non-community members participate in the yatra every year. Over 20,000 from India and over 300 from Madhya Pradesh attend this yatra and festival every year.  However, due to coronavirus outbreak, government has allowed only 100 people from all over the country to participate in the fest.  The festival is held every year in June on the full moon day of Guru Purnima. On this day, devotees gather near the banks of the Indus River, which is known as the Sindhu River in India. Since 1997, the festival has stretched for three days, attracting large number of foreign and domestic tourists. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 question papers were released on its official website on Monday. Answer keys for the same are scheduled to be released on Tuesday.  This year, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi conducted JEE Advanced on Sunday.  Question papers of Paper I and II are available on the website and students can download the same to analyse their performance. As per JEE Advanced 2020 schedule, provisional answer keys will be released on September 29. The question paper and the answer keys, once released, will be available on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Along with the answer keys, candidate’s response sheet will also be released for reference. Due to coronavirus outbreak, for the first time, Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya recorded footfall of 7,500 in an entire week. City zoo reopened after 6 months following the new normal protocols to control spread of covid-19 on Monday, i.e. September 21. The footfall at city zoo was less than half as compared to usual footfall before covid-19 on the first day. District Education Officer (DEO) in-charge Sanjay Goyal warned schools of ensuring social distancing and complying with coronavirus protocols. He instructed schools to take extra precautions to prevent the spread of virus. “We had received some complaints about students sitting on adjacent benches, so we instructed schools to ensure that a bench is skipped to ensure social distancing,” Goyal said. The complaint was filed by RTI activist Sanjay Mishra.

Indore coaching owners association demanded to unlock coaching institutes on Friday, citing that 50 percent coaching institutes had to shut down as they could not afford to pay rent without operation for 7 months. Due to restriction on coaching classes, over 5 lakh families are now struggling to earn their bread and 70 percent students in the state are unable to study. The association demanded the government to issue guidelines for coaching and professional institutes just like the ones issued for schools and colleges. Further, under their appeal the association laid down 5 demands. Following the complaint of animal activists, Indore collector Manish Singh ordered probe in the use of animals for political promotions on Tuesday.  Animal activist and state coordinator of MP Police Centre against Animal Cruelty Priyanshu Jain had complained quoting the offense on use of animals.  The complaint was sent to CEO election commission, DGP police MP, IGP police MP, DM Indore, DIG Indore and TI Sanwer. Further, animal activists launched a social media protest against the same.  “We report repeated use of animals like bullock carts in election rallies, painting horses and bulls for their promotions, which is extremely wrong  and against the law,” Priyanshu said. She added that use of animals is an offence under prevention to cruelty act 1960 section 11 and Indian penal court section 428/429.

Due to which the leopard's eyes are damaged and iron pellets are stuck all over the head.  The leopard rescued from Nayapura village finally underwent CT scan after delay of 2 months and 12 days. Leopard was taken to Van Vihar, Bhopal for the scan.  The leopard became the first in country to undergo a CT scan. The first ever CT scan conducted of a wild animal was reported in 2011 when a wild bear had undergone the scan.  The leopard returned to Indore after the scan. Compartment exams of class 10th and 12th of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) commenced from Tuesday.   The compartment examinations are being conducted for the students who were unable to qualify the Feb/March exams.  CBSE compartment exams  provide students attempting board exams in class 10th and 12th with a second chance to improve their scores without having to wait for a complete year. The board has instructed all the exam centres to  ensure that all the necessary safety measured will be taken since the exams are being conducted in the COVID-19 pandemic time. On Tuesday, probe was ordered in the case of forest ranger Mahesh Ahirwar, who was suspended yet posted as per recent orders. Madhya Pradesh Van Karmchari Sangh met with Divisional Forest Officer Dr Kiran Bisen on Monday, urging her to release funds and salaries for projects. As shared by Sangh’s state vice president Prakash Bajpai, salaries of forest guards is due for over 6 months now and other funds for approved projects have not been released since last 1.5 year now.  “Most projects that have been approved are on standstill, as funds have not been released by the department till date,” Bajpai said. He added that the projects were approved more than a year back.  “Forest guards and fieldworkers are important pillars for protection of wildlife, but their payments are held back since last 6 months,” Bajpai said. Protesting against district administration and state government led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, over 500 parents staged a protest at Regal Square on Sunday. Parents held up placards and shouted slogans against the government for not providing any relief to parents and supporting private schools.  The group of parents raised issues against 20 private schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Overlooking orders of suspension of forest ranger Mahesh Ahirwar given by Chief Conservator of Forest CK Ninima, the ranger has been given charge as forest ranger in Dhar. Furthermore, the ranger has not replied to the show cause notice issued to him. The announcement of reopening Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya and Regional Park was announced by Indore municipal commissioner Pratibha Patil on Tuesday.  Every day a large crowd of people throng in city zoo and Regional Park. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) began class 10th supplementary board examination from Tuesday. As per the time-table, the exam would be conducted from September 15 to September 22, 2020 from 9 am to 12 am at 27 centres in Indore. Students attempted ‘Second and third language – Sanskrit’ examination on Tuesday. The number of students attempting the exam was fairly low, an indication that most students were able to perform fairly well in the subject in their first attempt.  On September 15, i.e. today, students who could not clear Mathematics will be attempting the supplementary exam.  In class 10th, the passing percentage of MPBSE was 62.3%, which was a percent higher than last year.  In Indore, 16,136 regular candidates failed in a subject or two and will be attending supplementary examination. Jain monk Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj appreciated the decision of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on providing milk instead of eggs to children in Anganwadis on Tuesday.  Chouhan announced the decision of providing milk to alleviate malnutrition putting an end to the discussion.
