Winning is awesome, no doubt, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose.
Nobody labels experiences as easy life, pursuing passion is never easy, but the ups and downs is what makes our life into a beautiful music.
Sports has an interesting way of tuning life into a musical rhythm that teaches the lesson of enjoying the journey without worrying about destination. Balancing several tasks of life without stress or worry, 70-year-old retired banker Santosh Kaushik quoted importance of living life as an adventure rather than taking it as a challenge.
"Individuals regularly wonder how is it conceivable to oversee time and complete everything, my mantra is just to live like we play an amusement," Kaushik said. With a proactive frame of mind towards life, he moves everybody around with his vitality and appeal.
Sharing his cherished recollections, Kaushik stated, "I was 12 when I initially played table tennis enlivened by my senior siblings (Anand and Narendra)." His affection transformed into enthusiasm as he improved as a player.
"In 1964, I spoke to MP in first title and where we stowed bronze," Kaushik said. Following that, he never thought back and kept on playing regardless.
"Truly, I don't considerably recollect what number of matches I have played and won, perhaps thousands, yet I can at present feel the rush of being invigorated at whatever point I play," Kaushik said. In the wake of moving on from school, he chose to consider human science and financial matters.
"I was in first year when I breezed through financial test and joined Union Bank on beginning pay," Kaushik said. Declining to bargain his energy or training, he took in the specialty of adjusting.
“I finished my bachelor's degree in night school and played in morning and evening, i.e. before and after my working hours,” Kaushik said. It appeared to everyone around that he never slept. In reality he slept and still managed everything.
“Playing sports, in my case table tennis, made me feel peaceful, energetic and happy,” Kaushik said. He explained that sports instead of hindering made managing other tasks easier.
“I have learned so many things because of sports, primarily to live disciplined life with acceptance of everything as a part of journey including failures and winnings,” Kaushik said. He passed on the same lessons with freedom to choose their way to his son CLAT mentor Ashutosh and grandson Kartikey.
“I cannot even remember how many matches I won or lost even if I start looking at my rewards, because they never mattered, what mattered was the game,” Kaushik said.
