Doubtful about marks receieved? Ask for photocopy of evaluated marksheet from CBSE

All those students, who are questioning their mistakes in the examination and not sure where they lost marks and why, can apply to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to obtain photocopy of their evaluated answer book from May 20 to 21.
To facilitate transparency, CBSE is willing to send photocopy of evaluated answer book to applying students this year. Rs 700 will be charged per answer book.
Further, if students cite a problem in the answer book, they can apply for re-evaluation from May 24 to 25. Rs 100 will be charged for re-evaluation per question.
Students have to apply online for photocopy as well as re-evaluation. Also, students must complete the process before 5 pm.
Last year, CBSE had disclosed marks change in over 4,000 cases which accounted for 0.075 per cent of total evaluated copies after re-evaluation of answer sheets of Class 12 exam. The board had also mentioned taking against over 200 teachers for "callous evaluation".

Most re-evaluation to be filed for English

Talking about the issue faced by most students, senior educator Pradeep Joshi said, “English has been a downer for most students and maximum students are filling for re-evaluation in the subject.” Even students scoring 100 marks in most subject, have scored in 60s in English.
“Another look in English answer book is likely pump up marks, because it is not possible for all the students to do terribly in language paper, where they generally score well,” Joshi said.
Even class X city topper Shriyansh Raj Awadhiya had scored 100 marks in all the subjects except English. Despite being the city topper, he was anxious at losing marks in English.
One another student who suffered because of English is Aryan Khetawad. “I scored 98 in one subject, 99 in 2 and 100 marks in a subject, unexpectedly I was given 67 marks in English, which brought down my percentage,” he said.
Many other students in city are suffering from English dilemma this year and hope to get justice. Students will have to apply for photocopies first and then pick out questions, where they feel re-evaluation is needed.
