CBSE temporary regional office in Bhopal, Indore pushes for it to become permanent

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set up its regional office at Bhopal for the academic session 2019-20. The decision is likely to turn into permanent office, as per Indore Sahodaya group of CBSE schools’ communication with the board.
The move is helpful for thousands of schools in the state, who had to communicate and manage all the transactions with Ajmer regional office till the last academic session. CBSE released a public notice for schools affiliated to the board.
“All the schools affiliated with the Board in the State of Madhya Pradesh are directed to make correspondence or contact to Regional Office, Bhopal on all official matters for the academic session 2019-20 on the above address and contact details,” Jaiprakash Chaturvedi, CBSE's deputy secretary (affiliation) signed the notice.
Currently, CBSE has 10 regional offices in India and 23 offices outside India. Until now, Ajmer regional office had been the correspondence contact for affiliated schools in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Ajmer had been one of the busiest centre handling three major states with over a thousand affiliated schools in each state. Indore has 236 schools affiliated with board as of latest reports.
The regional office at Bhopal is located at Shree Bhavan‘s Bharati Public School on Kerwa Dam Road. Meenu Joshi will be representing the board at the regional office.
School owners, administrators and principals in Indore are excited and ready to push forward for the regional office in Bhopal. Sahodaya group has given a positive feedback and is quite sure of Bhopal office to become the permanent regional office for the state communication.
“It is not just us, who has been facing issues in travelling all the way to Ajmer for transactions especially verifications, even Ajmer office is facing issue of overload,” chairperson of Sahodaya group Reena Khurana said.
She added that the number of CBSE affiliated schools is growing every year in the city and state. “In Madhya Pradesh, we have an inclination towards CBSE board over state board in most cities, which makes it essential for us to have a convenient point of communication and transaction in the state,” Reena said.
“Indore to Ajmer even via shortest distance is 10 to 12 hours journey, which costs us a lot of time and energy,” Reena said. With the office in Bhopal, it would be possible to complete the transaction within a day, which generally takes three days at the moment.
