The number of skeletons in Zila Panchyat office are more than one can imagine. Despite having replied to an appeal under RTI confirming that they have a received an order of inspection against in-charge Devendra Choubey, Zila Panchayat CEO Neha Meena denies ever receiving any such inspection order.
The number of orders vanishing from Zila Panchayat office is a clear indication of an insider-game, where orders are being stopped from compliance.
When asked about the inspection order against Choubey that was passed by then commissioner Sanjay Dubey, Neha said, “We did not receive any such order, there is no inspection passed against Choubey, he is right in front of me and confirms that no such inspection has been ordered.”
The order was passed last year originally with three reminder orders. The last reminder order was sent in July 2019.

In follow-up of yesterday’s case, where it was revealed that Choubey had held back orders of punishing BRC (block resource coordinator) Rajendra Singh Tanwar, Neha said, “It is baffling, how our receipt register does not show the receiving of the order.”
A team of officers from commissioners’ office had visited Zila Panchyat office on Monday. This was in concern with formats for inspection according to Neha. However, sources claim that this visit was in regards with non-compliance of the orders passed against Tanwar.
“We have requested and received a copy from commissioner’s office about stopping increment of Tanwar,” Neha said. The orders will be immediately followed and increment would be stopped for Tanwar, she added.
“Missing out on orders is a serious problem and we would be launching inspection to find out the cause of the issue,” Neha said. The inspection would be launched soon, as she stated and would be checking all the files and personnel’s records.
