Prefects of Daly College organised a panel discussion on ‘Youth Entrepreneurship today’ at the Dhirubhai Ambani auditorium on Friday.
Renowned entrepreneurs Siddharth Sethi (CEO of software designing company), Navin Choudhary (CEO of venture capitalist firm), Neha Karan Mittal (Former Chairperson of FICCI Flo) and Anuj Kothari (National Chairman of Young Indians) were the panelist on the stage. The panelists were welcomed by the saplings by host school students.
Gauri Shahra and Arjun Pasari were the moderator of the panel discussion. Students from Vidhya Sagar School, New Digamber Public School and other private school were also present in the auditorium to witness the panel discussion.
All the panelists shared their success and failure stories with the students and urged the students to be self employed and give employment.
The panelist also asked the students to be honest and serve the society with values and ethics. The students asked the questions and cleared their pros and cons of being an entrepreneur.
“Being an entrepreneur is a choice to become the job giver, which means a lot more responsibility and ambition to drive a team along with you to build something better for tomorrow,” Choudhary said. He motivated students to follow their heart and remember the importance of choosing to become an entrepreneur.
Neha asked them to become responsible entrepreneurs by ensuring a logical approach to their idea.
On this occasion, DC principal Neeraj Kumar Bedhotiya, vice principal AS Ansari, dean of staff and student welfare Vineeta Bedhotiya and all the teachers were present.

Story of three childhood friends forming successful start-up
“I with my childhood friends Mitesh Bohra and Avinash Sethi, had decided to set up a software company in their hometown, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Unlike Bengaluru, Hyderabad or Pune, Indore was not an IT hub, and the three were then working in the US. The company was incorporated with seed capital of $3,000 (about Rs 1.2 lakh) from each co-founder in 2000. After that we have never invested our own money or others' money, until we raised Rs 37 crore through a public listing on the NSE two years ago. All three of us were actually coding, as late as 2011. We were growing the business in a very organic manner.”
