Khelo India Fitness Assessment Training


One day Khelo India Fitness Assessment Regional Level Training of Teachers (Regional TOT) was organised by CBSE and Sports Authority of India at Agrasen School, Indore. Yogendra Deshpande and Dharmendra Yadav were the resource persons appointed by CoE (Centre of Excellence) CBSE, Ajmer.
Total 64 teachers from 48 various schools from MP, Gujarat and Rajasthan attended the training. The training was inaugurated by school principal Mridula Patni. During her welcome address she spoke on the importance of discipline in sports, as it promotes team spirit, togetherness, development of social values through sports.
In the 1st session Introduction to Khelo India Fitness Program was given by Deshpande followed by the philosophy of program, Measurement effects & Test validity, the concepts of movement and then he described the test batteries of the program.
Later Yadav demonstrated the physical fitness assessment test batteries to be conducted for the students.Teachers were also taught for the use of Khelo India (School version) mobile application and the website for on ground assessment of children. At the end of the training, certificates were distributed to all participants by the principal and resource persons.
