An inter-school quiz for CBSE affiliated schools was organised under the aegis of Sahodaya Samagam at Chhatrapati Shivaji Public School, Usha Nagar Extension, Indore (M.P) on Saturday. Sahodaya Samagam is a series of inter-school competitions organised by Indore Sahodaya Compex of CBSE schools.
About 15 CBSE schools participated in the quiz competition in a battle to win the first place triphy. The quiz was conducted on various general knowledge topics instead of a theme.
Host school principal Vinod Jain said, “To reinvent the education system and give students a break from traditional classroom learning, there is a dire need to revive the quiz culture in schools.” He added that stir interest in children and that was the most important lesson of the competition.
Chief guest of this programme was Shankar Rao Jadhav, president of Shri Kshatriya Maratha Samaj Public Trust Indore, said, “The students then have a better idea of how well they are grasping the material, hopefully motivating them to study more and helping them allocates their study time effectively by focusing on the information that still needs more practice.”
The winner of the quiz competition was The Omni School. Runners-up trophy was awarded to Sarafa Vidya Niketan. SICA school students bagged the third place trophy.
The quiz was conducted by Ritika Soni and Suneeta Pathak.
