Top two places awarded to dogs from Bhopal in Dog show 2019

As many as 200 dogs of about 50 breeds put a brilliant show, as they scorched the ramp at the Kennel Club of India’s dog show here on Sunday. Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Afghan Hounds, Beagles, Akita and German Shepherds were among the 50 breeds of dogs that had been led to the dog show by their owners from various parts of the country. For most of the breeders present, dog rearing was a passion.
Gaurav Kumar of Amblala was among one of the participants, who owns 40 Saint Bernards. He said that he fetches shampoo for his dogs from foreign countries and organise grooming every week for each of them.  Mandeep Bhatia, a city based pet lover, said she was against buying or selling of dogs. “I only keep them as pets and I take their care as my family members,” she said.
The dog show was judged by Gauri Nargolkar. Organiser of the show, Ahilya Nagari and Kennel Club’s Ajay Jainkar said that the show was a great success, but lack of registration for KCI was a disappointment for them, as they had expected pet lovers will come forward to register their pets to ensure their safety that the club provides.
