CBSE extend relaxations to the wards of Armed Forces and Para-Military Forces martyred

In 2020, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to extend relaxations to the wards of Armed Forces and Para-Military Forces, who were fighting terrorism and left wing extremism etc. for the country, and are martyred in the line of duty. 
The CBSE circular comes in the wake of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama in which 40 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were killed.

After Pulwama attack, CBSE in 2019 decided to give certain exemptions to the wards of martyred of Armed Forces and Para-Military Forces. Students can submit their requests to schools, which will be forwarded to the regional office by February 28.
Notifying the same, CBSE controller of examination Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj noted that the following exemptions:
1. Wards appearing for the Class XII or X examination in 2020 and wish to change their centre of examinations in the same city, they would be allowed to do so.
2. If they wish to change their examination centre to some other city, they would be allowed to do so.
3. If they have missed their practical examination(s), the same would be conducted as per their convenience by 2nd April, 2020 by their school.
4. If they wish to appear in the examination in any offered subject later, they will be permitted to do so.
Such candidates may request to their school. Schools will send their request to concerned Regional Office for needful action latest by 31.01.2020 so that necessary action could be taken by the CBSE.
In addition to this, CBSE will also give certain relaxation to special students with benchmark disabilities. This will be considered for students with learning disabilities (Dyscalculia). They will be allowed to use calculators in the examination by showing the appropriate certificates. Only those students will be allowed to use calculators who are registered under the CWSN (Children with Special Needs) category.
