Changing into avatars of freedom fighters and their role-models, students of Devi Ahiliya Shishu Vihar, Chattribagh gave a glimpse of Indian history in the Fancy Dress competition organised in school premises.
About 600 students of pre-primary and primary classes participated in the competition. Students choose to dress up as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Balaji Baji Rao, Mahatma Gandhi, Indian Army Officers and other role-models.
Some senior students also gave a colourful folk dance performance to present various colours of India. Dance-drama depicted unity in diversity.
The competition was organised in three categories. In first category, students under 3.5 years participated. In the second category, students in the age group of 3.5 years to 5 years participated. In the third category, students in the age group 5 years to 7 years participated.
Chief Guest Sonal Bhatti, principal Govt Polytechnic College, Dewas, appreciated the efforts of students and said, “I hope that our children grow to be role-models that they have transformed into. Every student can become an inspiration with the right guidance.”
