To ensure that everyone is eating well during the lockdown,
Indoreans involved in NGOs (non-government organisations) have come forward and
are taking a step ahead by providing food packages in slum areas.
Indore auto rickshaw association is delivering food packets
for free in various areas of the city.
“We have appealed people to donate wheat, rice, pulse oil
and kitchen items for household use so that auto rickshaw drivers can deliver
it to daily wagers and help them,” Rajesh Bidkar said.
Further, the auto association has decided to deliver the
food packets if prepared by anyone at no cost. The association can be contacted

In order to provide food to everyone, ‘Samasya Kya Hai’
organisation launched a campaign to provide namkeens and food to daily wagers.
“We identified people in 4,500 households and will be regularly providing food
packets to them,” Amit Sikarwal said.

To help everyone stay strong and face the crisis,
communities are reaching out to the less fortunate ones of the society and
helping them by giving food packets.
Atmadarshan Foundation together with the Christian Community
in Indore started a new campaign #feedastomach and reached out with food
packets to needy. “We have decided that these coming 21 days, we will
distribute the food packets at Jawahar Marg, Indore,” Fr Anand said.
Cops from Chandan Nagar police station reached out to the
slum area in Chandan Nagar and provided ration to daily wagers in the area. The
team gave 250 grams of flour to every household.
