‘Time to teach online to complete the syllabus for board examination’ School announced closing the session, online classes & possibility of early re-opening


In a letter addressing parents, Daly College informed them about making suitable arrangements to start online learning and classes citing delay in re-opening of schools in June as well.
School principal Neeraj K Bedhotiya mentioned the current lockdown scenario and its implications.
“We have received positive response about online teaching and learning. It is new to all of us and therefore it will take some time getting used to. We are making suitable adjustments to the process as per feedback from teachers, students and parents,” he wrote.
He added that as of now, online teaching and learning will continue so that our children are fruitfully occupied. Further, parents were reminded that the campus will remain shut till the lock down is over and thus the offices will be closed too.
Announcing cancellation of April session in school, Bedhotiya wrote, “Whereas the last day of the current term as per the calendar is Saturday, April 25, 2020. In the light of the current lock down continued uncertainty about the future and the fear of the virus and measures which the Government may have to take post April 15 the Daily College has decided to close the school for the current term till the end of summer vacation.”
Further, he discussed reopening of school in June stating, “Although the School is scheduled to re-open on Monday, June 22. 2020 after the summer vacation (Boarders report on June 2), you will appreciate nothing is sacrosanct in the present scenario.”
He added the school will need to respond to arising situation either due to Government/CBSE notification on the issue or due to an early start to make up for the loss of studies. Particularly for Board classes.
“However, any change in the schedule re-opening of the school will be notified giving you adequate time to make arrangements,” Bedhotiya wrote.
