72nd NCC Foundation Day: blood donation camp and other activities organised across India

National Cadet Corps (NCC) are celebrating 72nd NCC foundation day this year and to celebrate the same, several online and offline activities will continue till Dec 3, 2020.

Celebrating the foundation day, about hundred cadets and officers donated blood at Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital on Sunday. In the blood donation camp, apart from 81 cadets, 19 NCC officers and staff also donated blood.

Cadets from all the private and government institutions participated in the donation camp from 1 Madhya Pradesh Girls Battalion, NCC Chimanbagh; 2 MP Armed Squadron; Nehru Yuva Kendra and regional public relations bureau.

The camp was organised in the office premises of the 9 MP Battalion located at Nehru Nagar, NCC. MYH staff collected the blood and encouraged cadets to continue such activities for the country.

Activity coordinator for school cadets NCC third officer Sunayna Sharma and coordinator for college cadets Krishna Buriya led the activity.

From 9 MP Battalion Command Officers Colonel Pramod Pathak, Colonel Salil Bisht and Colonel Pankaj Atri coordinated the activity.

District youth coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra Tara Pargi, NCC second officer Nirmal Medatwal, and Lieutenant Drona Mishra guided the young cadets for conducting various other activities.

Other than this, cadets have been running awareness drives on social media. NCC cadets and officers are also involved in various campaigns including 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat', 'Self-reliant India' and 'Fit India'.

Cadets are participating in Swachhta Abhiyan, 'Mega Pollution Fortnight' and various government initiatives like 'Digital Literacy', 'International Yoga Day', 'Planting' and vaccination programs etc.

Cadets across India participated in blood donation camps and social development programs on the occasion of NCC Foundation Day.
