Daly College Indore demands explanation from parent Hemedra Singh Panwar for uncivil behaviour for not pressing criminal charges

Daly College sought explanation from a parent most uncivil and disrespectful manner by intimidating staff and seeking a justification as to why appropriate action for filing criminal charges against the parent.

The email was sent by DC principal Neeraj K Bedhotiya to Hemendra Singh Pawar, father of Prathmeshwar Singh Pawar stated, “It was brought to the notice of the undersigned that, on May 21, 2021 the Housemaster, Sijo Mathew, of your son, Master Prathmeshwar Singh Pawar (A-12948), called you on your phone to remind you that the fees of your ward were overdue. The calls were made as a matter of routine to all Parents who had not paid their due fees till date.”

It added that for some inexplicable reason Pawar took umbrage at this routine matter and behaved in a most unacceptable manner by abusing the Housemaster Mathew, in Hindi and went on to use objectionable language and expletives for the Principal. “You also threatened the Housemaster by stating that you are coming to school and by saying “I will need to bash you.” You further told him to “resign or I will kill you.” You are well aware that such threats and intimidation are criminal acts in the eyes of law,” the email said.

Further, it mentioned that, during another phone call, Pawar once again revealed murderous intentions when he flatly stated that it’s only a matter of minutes for him to kill the principal and further used threatening and demeaning words for the President of the Board Narendra Singh Jhabua, whereby, he stated that he’ll shoot Jhabua as well, if need be. “The afore-said fact further exposes the magnitude of your undignified behaviour,” the email said.

Further, as per description the email said, “It is established from available records that even in the past, you have behaved in the most uncivil and disrespectful manner by intimidating staff to have your way.” Following were mentioned:

- You had made a forced entry to meet your son in July, 2017 using threatening language.

- During the pandemic last year, on two separate occasions, two lady teachers became targets of your uncouth behaviour over routine, innocuous matters: your son’s Class Teacher once and Housemistress on another occasion. The Vice Principal wrote to you, and you had a meeting with him in December, 2020. The Vice Principal has confirmed that you did not bring the matter of fees at the said meeting which was to sort the issues related to your misconduct with the two female members of the staff.

“Please send your response within three days of receipt of this letter failing which it will be assumed that you have nothing to say, or if your response is found unsatisfactory, a suitable appropriate action will be taken accordingly,” said Bedhotiya.
