After 64 days, the gates of Khajrana Ganesh temple were opened for devotees to come in and meet the lord for darshan.
Following the order issued by the District Collector on Friday, the doors of the Khajrana Ganesh temple were opened for the devotees at around 2:00 pm.
The doors were opened late in the afternoon after receiving confirmation of the Collector and Temple Managing President Manish Singh.
A large number of devotees waiting for a long time reached the temple during the day. People stood in queues for darshan of Lord Ganesha.
For entering the temple, it was necessary to bring a certificate of vaccination or to show the message of having the vaccine in the mobile, only after showing that the devotees are being allowed to enter the temple premises.
On the orders of the District Collector, only four devotees were allowed inside the temple at the same time. Other devotees are being allowed to visit the idol only after the first four visitors moved out of the premises.
The priest of the temple Ashok Bhatt said that even today a large number of devotees had darshan and those who did not bring proof of vaccination were not given entry.
Bhatt said that the temple will remain closed tomorrow due to complete corona curfew on Sunday. "But a large number of devotees are expected to reach the temple on Wednesday, due to which it will be difficult to stop a large number of devotees outside under the present arrangement," he said.
Bhatt said that it is better that the temple should be kept closed on Wednesday.
