CISCE Result of ISC & ICSE exams declared: students satisfied with the results & feel it is justified way of marking

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the results of Class 12 or ISC and Class 10 or ICSE exams for the academic year 2020-21 on Saturday. Students could check scores at cisce.org and results.cisce.org.

Some students were unable to check their board results on official websites due to heavy traffic, they could scores can be accessed through SMS services.

To get ICSE results on your mobile phones, students can send their seven-digit unique id to 09248082883 in the following format: 'ICSE (Unique ID)'. Similarly, for ISC results, the candidate has to type his/her in the following way: 'ISC 123456 (Unique ID).

In initial reactions, most students in Indore seemed satisfied and happy with results. Many students reported results to be better than their expectations.

“I am delighted, because it seems justified to my track record that I score 79 percent,” Yasmin Dawawala, a class 12th student, said. She added that her average score combined with project work and other details provides a score close to what she would have attained.

“I am happier than expected, because maybe, due to coronavirus outbreak and following stressful situation, I would not score this well,” Abhishek Kant, a student from class 10th, said.

There was no press conference by CISCE Board for ICSE Result 2021 and ISC result 2021 this year. The result were declared directly on the official website.

ISCE Class 10 Assessment Criteria

The average marks scored in various subjects/ papers conducted by the school at classes 11 and 12 through the academic year 2019-20 and 2020-21 was converted in percentage form. The average mark of best of four marks in class 10 obtained by students was also added. Students who have passed class 10 from another had to submit their average mark with their school.

ISC Class 12 Assessment Criteria

The marks scored by the students in the project work and 2021 practical examination were added as usual to the theory marks.

Improvement option

In case, students are not satisfied with the awarded marks, they can also choose to give an improvement examination. CISE has said that these improvement exams will be conducted before September 1, 2021, and students will be informed about the exact dates well in advance.
