Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan rewarded Indore Municipal Corporation for coming number-1 for the 5th time in cleanliness with Rs 5 crore on Saturday afternoon at Amber Garden.

The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan rewarded Indore Municipal Corporation for coming number-1 for the 5th time in cleanliness with Rs 5 crore on Saturday afternoon at Amber Garden.
Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh should be made the number one state of the country in the field of cleanliness.
“This is possible only when every city plays an active part in the field of cleanliness and make their cities the most beautiful and clean cities,” Chouhan said.
He made a resolution to make the state the number one state of the country. “Every city should be proud of its heritage, and to carry forward this legacy, ensure public participation in development, all cities should celebrate their foundation day,” Chouhan said.
Chouhan was in Indore on Saturday for various programs. He attended the state level honour ceremony here under the Swachh Survekshan 2021 as the chief guest. He released Sewer & Safety Tank magazine. Chouhan appreciated the eco friendly bag 'Main Hoon Jhola Dhari Indori'.
Indore Municipal Corporation got award of 5 crores. 1 crore was awarded to Bhopal Municipal Corporation, 1 crore was given to Dewas Municipal Corporation, 50 lakhs were awarded to Gwalior, Ujjain, Singrauli, Burhanpur.
The Chief Minister honoured 36 urban bodies here. He also virtually inaugurated the newly constructed over bridge of Satna district from here itself.
Shahpur Parishad team was given a prize of 25 lakhs.
Chouhan congratulated the city for the reward and said that Ahilya Nagari has set a new benchmark for the entire country. He urged people to follow covid-19 protocol and ensure their safety from the virus.
