While the survival rate of tigers from the cub population is already low. It is generally accounted to 50 percent on average.

Earlier this week, a tigress was killed in Dindori, apparently after someone poisoned its kill, a bison. This is one of the highest annual tiger death tolls in MP in decades.

One of the biggest fails reported in Indore was missing of a paralysed leopard for five days. Further, attacks from leopards have been frequently reported with human deaths and injuries.
This clearly points to the rising conflict, perhaps because of unavailability of enough prey and forest land encroachments by people.
On that note, encroachments have continued on forest land. MP has 54,1731.28 hectares of forest land encroached by people as stands on 2021.
The fear and panic citing lack of facilities with rescue team of Indore was pointed out first in a case, where a leopard rescue took six to eight hours. The leopard had also attacked five people including two forest official.
This was further substantiated when the cage of rescue team had broken mesh.

The leopard was brought from Nepanagar, Burhanpur. It was rescued by Nepanagar forest department.
