A student of class 12th attempting Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Examination (MPBSE) was caught cheating and reported to the board on Saturday. The student was caught cheating on Friday, while attempting a Political Science examination.
After confirmation of cheating and formalities, the district school education department reported the case to MPBSE centre in Bhopal on Saturday.
The Flying Squad of the District Education Officer's office caught the student cheating and reported a case of cheating. The information regarding cheating students was sent to MPBSE.
The student was caught after one hour of examination. This is the first cheating case in the board in Indore for this academic session.
The student was attempting an examination in Government Maharaja Shivaji Rao Higher Secondary School. The exam started at 10 am in the morning. Flying squad teams also began scanning examination centres in the city from the same time.
The squad team was observing every classroom in centre and conducting surprise inspections. About 11 am, i.e. an hour after the exam was started, the flying squad team reached Maharaja Shivaji Rao Higher Secondary School.
The school is a centre for private students. The team checked every classroom and observed students’ behaviour.
During this, a member of the team caught sight of a student who got nervous at the sight of the team. The team observed the student further.
When the doubt turned to suspicion, the team member launched a thorough checking and inspection of the student.
During checking, a page with answers was found in his exam copy, from which he was cheating. The student confessed that he brought the paper hidden in his pocket.
Narendra Jain, Additional District Project Coordinator, Office of the District Education Officer, said, “A case was noted and sent to Bhopal reporting a cheating student.”
The team of Flying Squad confiscated the first copy of the student and the copying paper.
After this the second copy was given to the student. Both the copies of the student have been sent to the MPBSE, Bhopal after reporting a case of cheating.
The student's signature has also been taken in the cheating case confessing the same.
