State Topper Samyak with 99.9952%
“We had a challenge of managing online education during preparation of JEE Main 2022. However, it wasn’t difficult because when one commits to winning, everything is possible. I am inspired by my elder brother (Arpit) and my dad (Mukesh Kumar Jain). My brother is an engineer and my dad is an engineer at RRCAT. So, I had to follow the suit, just in my own way. I am more inclined towards electronics and computers. So, I will focus on studying and becoming a good electronics or computer science engineer in future. I balanced my studies with games. I studied for 7 to 8 hours every day. I have always been very focused and interested in studies. I love learning about Physics and Mathematics. I scored 97.7 percent in Class 10 CBSE. So I became surer of my abilities. My mother (Ritu) supported me. I use to love playing badminton before covid-19 outbreak. It was my stress reliever. I miss that. My mantra is: Focus.”

2nd State Topper Akarsh with 99.9937%
“I began my preparation in March 2020. Pandemic was starting. Our coaching centre teachers were very supportive. There were ups and downs. It was about staying calm. We had to do whatever had to be done. Never lose hope. I gave a lot of mock test from February, and continued the same when examination was postponed. I did not want to take a chance. I wanted to be clear and calm. I had an ice-cream before the exam. I chatted with my friends. I did not focus on a number. I wanted to give my best. I wanted to enjoy the paper. My parents (Aarti and Dr Amit Gupta) are my support system. My grandparents played an essential role with their support and motivation too. I want to study in IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay.”

I started my preparation from Class 9. Now, I finally am closer to my goal. I studied for 12 to 16 hours every day. I believe in commitment. I will chose computer science as my stream in engineering. My dad (businessman Rahul Jain) always motivated me to go on my path. My mother (Shweta Jain) is my support system. No matter what I needed, she stood by me and helped me through all difficulties. My advice is easy: Listen to your teachers and do your best.”

City’s second female topper Anushka with 99.63%
“My life is simple and easy, because I knew that I want to become an engineer from Class 9. I started preparing for JEE Main in 2020. I stayed in Indore, away from my parents, to prepare for the exam. I would study 9 to 10 hours every day. Before the exam, I studied for 13 to 14 hours in a day. My hard work paid off. I am one step closer to my dream. My parents (Dr Nidhi and Dr Anoop) are my biggest support. They have always helped me in staying strong. My mantra is: Never fear hard work, do whatever it takes to achieve your dream.”
