Following PBD convention and Global Investors Summit, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan thanked the city citing Indore’s nature, value and love that has created its brand, which is now work an engine to power state’s development. “Indore brand shines in the world. We will use it for state’s development. Indore is the engine to development and growth of MP now,” Chouhan said.
He added that Indore has a nature that accepts everyone; values that make everyone their own and love that makes even rock melt.
“People ask the secret of Indore in excelling in cleanliness, and it’s the way Indore is…” Chouhan said. He added that Indore now also excels in greenery; is environment-friendly; and knows how to create wealth and health.
“There were two governors who came to see how Indore did it, and I see it’s the way Indore works,” Chouhan said. He quoted the contribution of swachata workers.
“Autos gave free rides. Stores in Chappan Dukan gave free food to guests. The people in Indore… traders, students and every Indori is to be credited for its development,” Chouhan said.
Citing Indore as unique city in the world, he noted the motor of Indore as ‘Live and Let Live’.
“People say Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, but Indore is the only one where people live it, and they proved it, as they made everyone one family here,” Chouhan said. He cited that PBD and GIS guests left Indore with teary eyes.
Giving an instance from his experience, Chouhan said, “There was a lady landing in Indore at 3 am. She was scared before landing. However, she left calling everyone brother and sister.”
Quoting the need for focusing on environment, Chouhan appreciated Indore’s work on the same.
Discussing investments, Chouhan said, “A total of investment intentions worth Rs 15,42,514 crore have been received. We are still getting calls every day.” He gave an example of an inauguration of an export company that he would attend on Monday.
“I am a 100 per cent sure that this nature of Indore will make it excel. Now, people are saying that Indore will also become the Health City of India; Education City and Start-Up city,” Chouhan said. He added that Indore will be a capital in many different sectors now.
“My soul urged me to thank Indore from every person of Madhya Pradesh, so thank you Indore!” Chouhan concluded.
