Weekend Fun!
Time to relieve stress, cook Gnocchi & play a math game

Studies, competitions, games and friends... there is so much going on, as examinations inch closer. It is normal for you to sometimes feel stressed, but staying stressed isn’t a good idea. So, what to do?
Here is something that will entertain you as you make it and further, relief your stress anytime you want. This weekend, prepare your own stress balls to help you de-stress.
Do you have a fun day coming up? Try making this ‘Gnocchi’ a classic Italian dish that is quick, easy, delicious and healthy! A fun way to prepare and gear up your vocabulary is through crossword. We present you a small, fun one.
Furthermore, this weekend, you have to try a math game! This is more fun than any game you have ever tried. You don’t even need much... just die, pencil and paper.

De-stress with this fun ball!
What will you need?
• 2 balloons
• 1 cup flour
• Ribbon or wool
• funnel
• essential oils (optional)
Let’s make de-stressing ball
1. First blow air into the balloon and then carefully secure it around the end of the funnel.
2. If you are using an essential oil add a few drops of it to your flour before adding it to the balloon.
3. Next hold the balloon in place around the end of the funnel and start to slowly pour the flour into the funnel. Using your fingers to press the flour down into the balloon, softly shaking the funnel to loosen the flour and let it enter in the balloon. You will add approximately 1/2 cup of flour to each balloon.
4. Continue to add the flour to the balloon until it is filled, then remove the funnel from the balloon. Tie a knot in the top of the balloon (like you would if it was blown up).
5. Finally add a ribbon or pieces of wool to secure the knot and for decoration.

How to Play Pig Math Game?
Pig is a game for 2 to 6 players. Players take turns rolling a die as many times as they like. If a roll is a 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, the player adds that many points to their score for the turn. A player may choose to end their turn at any time and “bank” their points. If a player rolls a 1, they lose all their unbanked points and their turn is over.
Beginner’s Game: The first player to score 50 or more points wins.
Advanced Game: The first player to score 100 or more points wins.
Good questions for the parents to ask kids:
• Do you have a strategy? What is it?
• How do you know your strategy works? How could you test it?
• What happens when you play your strategy against another student’s different strategy?
• Between these two strategies (name two collected from the class), who do you think will win?
