World Poetry Day on March 21. Poetry warms heart, ignites passion & transforms world in catchy rhythms

World Poetry Day
Poetry warms heart, ignites passion & transforms world in catchy rhythms.

“Something as simple as brook becomes such a muse,
Often stirs enough attention gathering dues,
That the silent observers
Become activists protecting Earth as preservers.”
Such is the power of written words, often concise but in a unique rhythm supported by a catchy rhyme. Celebrating this linguistic art of poetry on World Poetry Day, we bring to light some simple, unique, self-composed poems by inspirational school students.
World Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999, with the aim of supporting linguistic diversity through poetic expression and increasing the opportunity for endangered languages to be heard. This year, i.e. 2023, the theme for World Poetry Day is Always be a poet, even in prose’ to quote the importance of creativity.

I RISE
You may pen me down in the history,
With all sorts of twisted lies.
You may tramp me in every dirt
But remember, like dust, still I rise.

Does my audaciousness upset you?
You’re better off with gloom.
Cause I walk like I own the gold mines
With cash pumping in my living room.

Like the surety of tides
And like suns and the moons
Just like hoping springs
Still I rise.

Does my luck perturb you?
You must now befriend the blue
Cause I smile like own the oil wells
With oil flowing in my shoe.

You may cut me with your tongue
And pierce me with your cunning eyes
Bury me like the truth
But just like air, still I rise.

Arts-Eternal Peace at Heart
She glides to the stage, everything around doesn't matter.
Her moves express words framing a story altogether.
Dancing takes her to a planet of her own.
Eternal peace at heart and music to her soul.

The strings of the guitar vibrate to produce a rhythm of joy.
From the drumbeat to the piano’s tune, music is something that everyone enjoys.
Every instrument has a voice of its own,
It speaks with peace rising from the unknown.

A canvas is her world where she splashes colours of emotions.
Where she paints clouds of hope and waves of change.
Art gives her the feeling of tranquillity away from the commotion.
It helps her sedate when the world thinks her to be strange.

Every art has a story of its own; it conveys more than words and speech.
It is something that not only a true artist but everyone with pure motives can reach.
It has the heart and soul of many artists behind it,
Who one day will spread their message around the globe with their unique art and contribute towards their bit.

The Frosty Winter

It's all dark outside
cold all over the seaside.
but it's the time for the winter.
This season is the time when the north wind blows everything is as cold as ice. Remember

Those winter breeze
which feels like
everything will just freeze.

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.
To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake it is necessary to stand out in the cold.

This season begins a new year and a hope to achieve what we want. People long for a little sunshine as the cold weather sends chills down the spine.
There must be your memories of those time.

Think about that feeling during those days.
when we are sitting in the heater and fire place.
And the Christmas is the most exciting thing in this season which makes me happy as a lark.

Examination Times
When exams are near
And so is our fear.
Pick up the books
And forget about your looks.

Grab your notebook and your pen
And let your mind run again,
For these examinations are never gonna end
And will keep on increasing and offend.

Examination times are full of stress,
But in the end, they bring us success.
They are interesting, as the adults say,
But I doubt, that's the case for students today.

Start banging your heads and slam the door,
Keep your distractions away and more.
For this is difficult as I know,
But, it's the only way our grades would grow.

These are sure enough nightmares for a student,
But, these decisions are very much prudent .
Don't worry, as they will end soon,
So stop behaving like Nobita the cartoon.

All the best for your exams!
Do well and then have momos from Sam's.

Be like Plants...
Plants, plants everywhere
Spreading fragrance here and there....
Plants, plants everywhere
Some are dark, some are fair....
Plants, plants everywhere
Spreading fragrance here and there......
They give us oxygen rich air....
Plants, plants everywhere
All I say, there is lot more to share
I'll tell you, when I have some time in spare....

Examination Times
Whenever exam time is near,
We all do fear.
It gives us anxiety,
With a lot of tears.

It makes us anxious,
With a mind being bloodless.
It is hard to study,
while talking to my buddy.

Thick dark circles,
Ferocious red eyes
But nothing can be done about this,
Am I saying right?

We all wish for good luck,
But nobody can opt for the same.
The knowledge plucked from the book,
Can give the world a little shook.

Examination times
It’s time to study hard for umpteen days
And my wish to score good marks enough to stay content, hopefully god answers my prayers
With so much stress inside my head
And the feeling of fulfilment waiting to be fed
My brain overflowing with addition and charts up my crest
And competitive students all wanting to be the best
While writing so-much I can't feel my hands and they turn extremely sore
And expectations from parents always wanting more
With staying under chaos all around the clock while being submerged in books
And lingering under extreme pressure for getting good looks
Chapter by chapter getting more daunting
And the fear of failing left haunting
With my mothers eyes on me while telling me to write the same thing again and again
And my tuition teacher making me go completely insane
When the exams are over then comes the worst
It’s time for results with all hopes wishing to be first!

I can't figure out,
The intimacy between them.

Teenagers
We are born to die
We need to survive
There are certain things
which we believe and cry

Our childhood is spent happily
Now we become a teenager
We have to help our family
Sometimes mopping the floor sometimes be the tea maker

We just now know many things
And as always in our mind it brings
That we have to grow and increase our thinking
As some musician always sings

We also have to study hard
Never disappoint our parents with the report card
Make them happy and make them smile
Just by doing what they want not by walking a mile

Our life will give us many surprises it will make us a good person
We will learn to fight in dificult crises without taking any burden

We are the teenagers
We are the youth of India
We are the future
We are the truth of India
