Madhya Pradesh fails in nutrition, stunted growth in more than 30 lakh children

More than 30 lakh children stunted in MP
Anemia, growth issues wide-spread in all groups & background

Madhya Pradesh (MP) stands among the poorest states in terms of child nutrition. More than half the children in the state, an estimate of 30 lakh, suffer from stunted growth.
Though the state has been showing progress in the last couple of years, it still suffers from malnutrition and hence, permanent damage for economic and society growth.
Stunting causes physical and neurocognitive damage that is most often irreversible. Stunted children have stunted bodies and brains and live stunted lives, hampering the development of entire societies.
So, even though we celebrate talented children, we urge people to understand the current scenario and ensure proper nutrition among children.
