106 artworks of 50 artists mesmerize over 15k art lovers
Two-day 24th National Art Exhibition Kala Ke Rang organised by Create Stories Social Welfare Society showcasing artworks at the first movable art set-up of Central India at a private college concluded on Sunday.
About 15,000 people witnessed the artworks and expressed their opinion about the current trends and evolving artworks.
More than 106 artworks were showcased in the exhibition contributed by over 50 artists.
Organiser Deepak Sharma said, “Th exhibition is themed on diversity and displays different art forms, the artworks displayed in the exhibition share perspectives and ideas of people from various cities and states of India.”
“Art is a way to preserve our culture, tradition and heritage. Giving platform to these artists, this exhibition is taking a step in preparing a database of our culture and heritage,” Smart City CEO Divyank Singh said. He was amazed by the variety of artworks presented from portraits, landscapes to abstract and crafts.
Educationist Dr S Raman Iyer said, “Arts education can also help with developing skills and ways of working that will benefit you in the future in whatever career you choose.” He added that even if art is not a student’s favourite subject, studying the arts alongside other subjects significantly boosts student achievement.
