Water Filter Experiment
Materials Needed:
• Plastic bottle (cut in half)
• Gravel, sand, activated charcoal, cotton balls
• Dirty water (mix water with dirt or food colouring)
• Clear container to collect filtered water
How to Make:
• Cut the plastic bottle in half. Place cotton balls at the bottom to act as a filter.
• Add layers of sand, gravel, and activated charcoal on top of the cotton balls.
• Pour the dirty water through the top of the bottle and observe how the water is filtered through the layers and comes out clean.
Learning Objective:
• This experiment mimics how wetlands naturally filter water, showing the importance of wetlands in keeping water clean.

• 1 cup pizza sauce
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
• ½ cup mushrooms (sliced)
• 1 cup fresh arugula
• Olive oil (for brushing)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
How to Make:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet.
3. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on top of the dough.
4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
5. Add sliced mushrooms on top, spreading them out to cover the pizza.
6. Brush the pizza crust with a little olive oil for a golden, crispy finish.
7. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden.
8. Once the pizza is out of the oven, top with fresh arugula, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and some grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
