The area surrounding the temple is bustling with 60 shops, each offering a range of goods catering to the needs of the devotees. Of these, one shop is run by the temple committee, providing items at reasonable prices, making it a favourite stop for those visiting the temple. This shop ensures that even those with limited resources can make offerings and purchase devotional items.
Robust Security and Safety Measures
Given the temple’s vast size and the large number of visitors it attracts, security is a top priority. During major festivities, the temple employs 54 security guards to manage the crowd, ensuring safety and smooth operations. On regular days, 35 security guards maintain peace within the temple and its grounds.
Annakshetra: Feeding the Needy
A core feature of the temple is the Annakshetra, a food distribution program that has been running for over 40 years. Every day, 2,000 people are fed through this program, which is supported by lifetime members and other contributors who provide generous donations.
