Twirling Dancer
Materials Needed:
  • Square piece of paper (origami paper or cut a square from rectangular paper)
  • Colored pencils, crayons, or markers (to color the dancer and outfit)
Step-by-Step Guide
  1. Prepare Paper: Start with a square piece of paper (cut if needed).
  2. Fold Horizontally: Fold paper in half horizontally, then unfold.
  3. Fold Top & Bottom: Fold top and bottom edges to meet the center crease.
  4. Rotate & Fold Again: Rotate paper and repeat step 3.
  5. Create Dancer's Shape: Fold corners to center, creating a house shape on both halves.
  6. Draw Dancer: Draw the face, arms, and legs in the center and sections.
  7. Fold Sections: Fold top-right, top-left, bottom-right, and bottom-left sections for body details.
  8. Color the Dancer: Color the dancer’s face, arms, legs, and outfit.
  9. Twirl & Test: Fold in different directions and watch the dancer twirl!

Hip-Hop Hummus Wraps
Ingredients:
  • 4 whole wheat wraps (or any wrap of your choice)
  • 1 cup hummus (store-bought or homemade; smoky or spicy recommended)
  • 1 cup roasted veggies:
  • Zucchini (1 medium, sliced)
  • Bell peppers (1 red and 1 yellow, sliced)
  • Red onion (half, thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
  • A handful of fresh spinach leaves (or arugula for a peppery kick)
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots (for crunch and color)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sriracha or hot sauce (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and roast zucchini, bell peppers, and onion with olive oil, salt, and pepper for 20-25 minutes, or until tender.
  2. Spread hummus on whole wheat wraps, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Layer roasted veggies, feta (optional), shredded carrots, and fresh spinach on top of hummus.
  4. Drizzle sriracha or hot sauce, and squeeze lime juice over everything for a zesty finish.
  5. Fold the sides of the wrap in, then roll up tightly to secure all the filling.
  6. Slice wraps in half or into smaller pieces for a fun, bite-sized snack or meal.
