The 2025 High School Examination results for Indore District show a strong overall performance, with a pass rate of 77.83%. Girls significantly outperformed boys, with an impressive pass percentage of 81.87%, compared to 73.85% for boys.
This gender gap was particularly pronounced in the OBC (83.68%) and General categories (86.15%), where girls achieved the highest results.
Boys, especially from SC and ST categories, had higher failure rates, accounting for nearly 59% of all failures. The first division was dominated by girls, with 58% of all first division results attributed to them.
These results highlight the growing academic success of girls across all caste categories, but also point to a need for focused intervention for boys, especially from marginalized communities, to address the gendered performance disparity.

"I want to serve my country. I will be the first one in my family to do it," says Anjali Sharma, a state merit holder from Model School, Mhow, who scored an impressive 492 marks and secured 9th rank in the Class 10 examination.
Her achievement is a reflection of unwavering determination in the face of personal and family struggles. Her father, Mahinder Sharma, a fitter, endured a severe injury while working, with third-degree burns on his back and hands. “He was in the hospital for 16 days, and it was a difficult recovery. But he never gave up. Even after the skin replacement surgery, he went back to work like nothing happened,” Anjali shares, pride evident in her voice.
Anjali’s mother, Nirmala Sharma, a homemaker, has always been a source of emotional strength for her. “My mom’s belief in me has been my anchor. She encouraged me when I felt weak.”
Anjali’s dream is to join the NDA after 10th, despite not being able to join NCC. “I am determined to be the first in my family to wear the uniform. My father’s strength is my inspiration. If he can overcome all those struggles, I can surely make it.”
