Indore-Ghaziabad Direct Flight to Launch from July 20

Indore-Ghaziabad Direct Flight to Launch from July 20
Travelling between Indore and Ghaziabad will soon become significantly more convenient with the launch of a direct daily flight service by IndiGo, starting July 20. The airline has announced the schedule and commenced bookings for the new route, which will operate both ways.
As per the flight plan, Flight 6E 2558 will depart Ghaziabad at 2:10 PM, arriving in Indore at 3:30 PM. The return service, Flight 6E 2559, will leave Indore at 4:00 PM and land in Ghaziabad by 5:20 PM.
An IndiGo spokesperson Nisha Soni stated that the new flight aims to reduce travel time and eliminate the need for connecting flights or lengthy train journeys. “The service is expected to benefit both business and leisure travellers, particularly those seeking direct access to the NCR region,” he said.
The flight will operate once daily in each direction. Local passengers have welcomed the announcement. “This has been long overdue. It will save a lot of time and energy for those who regularly travel to Ghaziabad,” said Shweta Nair, a frequent flyer from Indore.
Meanwhile, Indore Airport is undergoing runway maintenance, limiting operations to 16 hours a day, with flight movements halted for eight hours overnight. Despite these restrictions, the airport has seen strong passenger numbers.
Data from the Airports Authority show that on several days in June, the airport handled more than 13,000 passengers, including 13,244 on 1 June, 13,122 on 3 June, 13,389 on 6 June, and 13,170 on 15 June.
The introduction of the Ghaziabad-Indore route is expected to enhance regional connectivity, ease commuter travel, and support growing trade and tourism links between Madhya Pradesh and northern India.
