World Photography Day on Aug 19 Indore’s Photographers Embrace Reels and Niche Shoots to Rule Social Media

The photography scene in Indore is evolving rapidly, with photographers expanding their craft beyond traditional portraits to cater to the booming demand for social media content. As reels and short videos dominate platforms like Instagram and Facebook, many local photographers are transforming into reel makers to stay relevant and grow their clientele.

Pre-wedding shoots, once focused on classic poses and still shots, now include dynamic reels capturing candid moments, creative transitions, and cinematic storytelling. These reels not only make couples’ stories more engaging but also help photographers gain viral visibility. “Couples want their shoots to be memorable and shareable,” Sanchi Chandani, Indore-based photographer specialising in pre-wedding reels.

Social media shoots, another rapidly growing niche, cater to influencers, entrepreneurs, and brands looking for fresh, eye-catching content. Photographers are now experts in crafting tailored reels and posts that boost online engagement. They advise clients on trending formats, hashtags, and aesthetics to maximise reach. Investment in high-end cameras, drones, and editing software has become standard to deliver professional-quality social media reels.

Specialised niche photography—like food reels, fashion lookbooks, fitness journeys, and pet photography—is also gaining traction in Indore. “In wildlife and baby photography, patience and timing are everything,” says Akshat Bhargav, an Indore-based expert. “With reels, I can show moments that photos alone can’t capture, making the experience more vivid and relatable. It helps these niche categories reach wider audiences on social media.”

Overall, the shift towards reel making and niche social media shoots is reshaping photography in Indore. Photographers are no longer just image capturers but storytellers and content strategists, helping clients build strong online identities. As social media continues to evolve, Indore’s photography professionals are leading the way in blending creativity with digital marketing savvy.
