3D rangolis, glowing nights!
Crafts to make and games to play,
A perfect plan for a festive day.
So grab your colours, your paper, your flair —
Let’s celebrate Diwali with joy to spare!

Masala Chai Tiramisu Cups
Ingredients:
• 1 cup strong masala chai (cooled)
• 200 g ladyfinger biscuits
• 250 g mascarpone or cream cheese
• 1/2 cup whipping cream
• 1/3 cup sugar
• Cocoa powder (for dusting)
How to make:
1. Dip ladyfingers quickly in the cooled masala chai.
2. Whisk mascarpone and sugar until smooth.
3. Whip cream until soft peaks form, then mix with mascarpone.
4. In cups, layer soaked ladyfingers and cream mixture twice.
5. Chill for 3 hours.
6. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Make a Paper Lantern
Materials Needed
• 2 colourful sheets of paper (contrasting colours)
• Scissors
• Double-sided tape or stapler
• Optional: Ruler and pencil
• Flameless LED candle
Instructions
1. Cut two 1-inch strips from one sheet (and a third for a handle, if needed).
2. Fold the second sheet in half lengthwise.
3. Cut slits from the folded edge, stopping 1 inch before the opposite edge.
4. Unfold the sheet and roll it into a cylinder.
5. Tape or staple the ends to secure the shape.
6. Roll the first sheet into a tube and insert it inside the lantern.
7. Attach the strips to the top and bottom edges for decoration.
8. Add the third strip as a handle, if using.
9. Place a flameless candle inside to light it up.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Create concentric, colourful circles using rangoli powder.
2. Make a rounded shape for the body, connected to the base.
3. Add the head: Draw a smaller circle or oval above the body for the head.
4. Create the ears: Draw two triangular shapes on either side of the head.
5. Add the eyes: Make two small circles for the eyes, and add a small dot in the centre of each for the pupils.
6. Draw the beak: Add a small triangular shape below the eyes for the beak.
7. Add the wings: Draw two curved shapes on either side of the body for the wings.
8. Finish with details: Add any additional details, such as feathers or patterns, to your owl rangoli.

3D Rangoli
You will need:
• Rangoli colours: red, orange, light orange, yellow, white, grey
• Chalk or pencil to draw
• A spoon, cotton, or your fingers
Steps:
1. Draw a butterfly shape on the floor with chalk or pencil.
2. Colour the wings:
o Start near the body with red
o Then orange
o Then light orange
o End with yellow on the outer edges
(Blend colours softly for a nice look.)
3. Outline the butterfly with white rangoli powder to make it stand out.
4. Make a grey shadow just under one side of the wings.
This makes it look like the butterfly is flying!
